Anthony's take on B-Roll is
shots are similar to cutaways in that they help break up the static interview shots, but B-roll plays a more major role in telling a visual documentary story. It differs because he says B-roll should not be a secondary or low priority and it really should be thought of as “A-roll.” His secret is to fill in B-Roll you do not have with shots that do not have a specific time, place, or subjects.
